How To Clean Stainless Steel Appliances With Baby Oil
Sick and tired of the grease that's strewn all over your oven and rangehood? Here are eight easy ways to clean those stubborn stains off your stainless steel appliances.
These tried-and-tested ideas from our resident decluttering and cleaning expert Chelsea Smith from The Organising Platform will surely help you bring your stainless steel appliances back to life.
1: Use baby oil
As per the video above, you can clean all your stainless steel appliances using none other than baby oil. Simply take a wet cloth and wipe down the surface. Pop some baby oil onto a microfibre cloth and give the surface another wipe down.

2: Clean with dishwashing detergent
Use a touch of dishwashing detergent and a little water and clean along the grain of the stainless steel appliance. Wipe with a microfibre cloth.

3: Use glass cleaner
Spray glass cleaner directly onto the stainless steel appliance and wipe with a microfibre cloth.

4: Olive oil works a treat
Pour a drop of olive oil onto a rag and wipe the appliance in the same direction of the stainless steel grain.

5: Try baking soda
Create a paste using 3 tablespoons of baking soda and 1 tablespoon of water. Rub the mixture over the surface with a sponge, then gently wipe the paste off with another wet microfibre cloth.
6: White vinegar
Spray white vinegar directly onto the surface of the appliance. Using a microfibre cloth, wipe in the direction of the grain of the stainless steel.

7: Lemon
Combine lemon juice and hot water in a bowl. Use a microfibre cloth and wipe down the stainless steel appliance, then wipe down again using a fresh microfibre cloth.

8. Cream of tartar
Use a few drops of water, cream of tartar, and a sponge to buff out any marks on your stainless steel appliances.
